Be your number-one fan
When in doubt, create something you are genuinely excited about and leave it out there.

Beyond their fresh take on electronic dance music—if we have to categorize it—Sofi Tukker’s way of collaborating leaves the listener in awe.
Not only their collaboration as a duo, but also the relationship they create with their audience.
During this KEXP performance, they do more than keep you in the moment. They also make you reflect. The conversation at the end is an added gift: hearing them speak about the journey they invite us into through their music.
In Sofi’s own words:
“I would call it something like faith. Faith in following what interests you and not necessarily needing to know why it interests you or what the outcome is going to be, but just being like: this is fun for me, so it is important that I do it.”
When something you create begins to reflect who you truly are—regardless of what others may say—perhaps you have entered a space where you are no longer trying to control the outcome.
You are simply following what feels alive.
At that point, does it matter whether it happened because you wanted it to, or because it was meant to happen once you allowed your creativity to move without boundaries?
Watch this performance for all its "Sofi Tukker"–esque elements, but also stay for their story: how they created their identity as a duo, remained open to exploration, tried new things, and stayed true to themselves.
They are not simply close to their listeners. They are with them.
They even talk about how a song becomes a different song each time they play it again.
You can feel how invested they are in the people in front of them and how much they genuinely enjoy what they are creating together.
That joy becomes part of the performance.
And I am here for it.
